It never tasted very good and smelled funny as well.
I think they sent that up with the astronauts to go with their TANG.

Just try this the next time you make a chocolate milkshake, put in a tablespoon of Ovaltine but blend it well-tastes just like the malted shakes from the old days.BTW how can you eat a "square"meal from a round plate?

In my younger day we would mix it with our milk and a raw egg.

I remember those weird commercials with guys throwing stones in a contest...they had their Ovaltine and so were able to fling them far distances!
Yeah, ok, so I'm showing my age; I'm 60 and have a new girlfriend, so there!

NZ and Australia have Milo, which is similar but it actually tastes better. You can buy Ovaltine here but its not as popular as Milo or Cadbury Drinking Chocolate.. most Pantrys down here you will find Milo in- mines 2 sugars and milk thanks! :

Oh something to add- with Milo, when you've emptied the tin, you can cut a thin slit in the lid and it makes a great money box to put your coins and loose change.

When we were kids- we could get string and make the usual primitive communication device by tieing string to each tin and thus talking in one end and listening in the other... :P

Also, you can make stilts by cutting two holes in each tin- threading string through and having a good meter so you can stand on each can, pull the string so you have instant 6inch height advantage over your friends...

Oh the fun with Milo as kids... bet you cannot do that to a jar of Ovaltine!
