I'm not a fan of A.I., but I was so glad to hear that Ellen DeGeneres will be leaving at the end of this season. I'm sorry-I don't like her, never have, never will. I think she was a poor choice to start with. Ellen says she feels like she never fit in. I guess with no music background, that pretty much nails it.
She was only hired to improve the banter between the hosts, and offer a "comic" edge to the comments. Hiring here was kinda like all those old TV shows that were dying, so they hired some new character to stir up things. Like on the Brady Bunch, that little John Denver look alike kid that helped kill the show. Or on That 70's show, hiring the guy to play Ashton Kucher's brother.
Word is that J Lo will be the next new judge on A.I. At least she's got the credentials to be a talent judge, and she's pretty easy on the eyes too.

I think Ellen can be pretty entertaining, but on AI she was very rarely funny or even amusing. It was a bad experiment. J-Lo will be a big upgrade as she has musical credentials and a good personality ...

When AI announced that Kara DioGuardi was going to be a judge the 1st thing that came to mind was 'kiss of death', production company wanting to kill the show but obligated to drag it out for a season or 2. J-Lo will be a fair replacement but AI is history, haven't been able to sit through a show since the 5th season.

Agreed. Having Ellen Degenerate was similar to the stunts pulled in the recent past with Monday Night Football hosts. What were they thinking?

I don't watch AI for the same reason I don't go to kariyoki (sp?). You have to listen to too many bad singers. I'm a bad singer myself, but at least I know it.
