I had steroids injected twice in this wrist before and the problem was gone instantly, but the tendonitis came ack like 6 months later each time. the doc said you can do that much more than twice because it weakens the tendon, so surgery or living with it was the options he gave me.

Surgery went fine. I'm feeling pretty good, haven't had to take any pain pills yet. they said i can take the wrapping off on monday, and to not lift anything that weighs morew than a pound for 2 weeks.

Glad the surgery went well. Although I do not suffer the same problem, I do have arthritis in both hands and I have found that the "cheap" Chinese steel balls they sell in stores for rolling around in your hands (as a pair) do wonders to keep the fingers loose and massages the tendons in the process. It is very pleasant, if not done too hard, and may help keep your fingers nice and loose while the wrist heals. They are a cheap remedy to. (about $10)
Maybe some of the other guys have had luck with this as well.
