I just got an email from my buddy that just bought a Marshall Haze as I suggested that it would be most suited to his playing. His email simply read "This amp is f****ing awesome."of course my reply was "I told you so."For the price these little amps are bona fide tone demons.

I been looking at those. :) That, or I might save up for one of those new Super-sonics (22 watts)

Or because I'll be going to college next year and space may be an issue, I might go with the mini stacks like a Vox Night Train or the Egnater Tweaker.

But I'm in no hurry. If something better comes along the way I'll snatch at the opportunity.

I played a Haze at the local shop where I take my lessons. It was pretty bad $@!. I don't really have the funds for one or room with the 3 amps I have but I'd love to get one. That or the TinyTerror combo by Orange that haunts my dreams.

The Haze is very cool. It does one thing, and does it pretty well. The Egnater Tweaker is hands-down the best sounding and most versatile "little" amp out there right now. I own one. It's incredible and well worth the cash. I've done my last two studio sessions with it, and it even sounds amazing in the rough mixes I've gotten so far. I highly recommend it.

Hi guys: I'm sure the Forum's bored to tears hearing me on the subject, but just to add options to the thread I'll mention the Marshall Class5 once more. Since dragging one home I just can't stop enjoying how this little fella sounds - the very thing for those long hot summer evenings in the orchard...

I finally got round to putting some pedals in front of it too. It don't really need 'em - but it handles them just fine. Lotta good flavours to be found in this handy sized box.

Cheers - C

In my admittedly limited experience with modern Marshall amplifiers I have observed that any recent Marshall I have owned or played had reliability issues, particularly with the controls and connections. I am leary of any new Marshalls. I like my Rivera Fandango. It sounds great and it has been completely reliable despite plenty of use.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I just can’t get behind the Haze. It’s a solid amp but had no mojo for me. Sounded flat and lifeless… Just my opinion…. I think I like the Class 5 a lot more in the marshall category..much more marshall goodness oozing from the 5…. For me……. I love the Orange tiny terror for my money there aint a better sounding small watt amp IMO….. In that price range

Cheer
Bill

I am torn between the Haze and the Class 5. Saving for the Haze, but will do a side by side when the time comes. We will see which Marshall I come home with.

I'm thinking about going with the Tweaker.
I think that'll be a great and easy ministack to take to college.

I just now have to figure out a way to keep my strat safe when I go... :?

Want to keep your Strat safe?....Stencil"Gibson" on the case-no one will touch it.

Yep, Tweaker all the way, man...

And that Gibson stencil reply was pretty damn funny if I do say so myself...

:D
