You could renew your Florida Driver's Lic. at certain Sears stores.

Or, my brand new '69 SS350 Camaro (that cost around $3000 if memory serves me)....What was gas- $.25 to $.30 a gallon?

Or, a '69 Nova SS350, where I could splurge and get Sunoco 260 for 39 cents a gallon. Set me back a whopping $2,100. And, you could go to the auto parts store and get points and plugs for a few bucks. Assuming it wasn't Sunday 'cuz everything was closed.
My 2nd car was a '68 Chevelle SS 396,man it was so cool...and I worked in an auto parts store after graduation, you're right the parts were available for almost everything except body parts and trim, you went to a dealer for those.
That's back when you could work on your own car without a degree in rocket science.

Home air conditioning was a fan.

Vehicle air conditioning was rolling (not power windows) windows down.

I've got no complaints, couple young ladies outside my office now, and, well, no complaints. And yesterday she wore a long flowered dress and sandels, thought i was back in 1967, girls are just as pretty now as then.

When you got your first paper route at 10 and the first paycheck for delivering papers was considered a fortune ($10 for a monthly route).
