man- i never came across a girl wearing a girdle. either you are older than me (56) or things are a little different where you are!

 I'm 60 little Bro, and, I started early. I wasn't precocious but the majority of the girls that I grew up with were, very, thank heaven for little girls because they grow up and teach us Bros everything we should know to survive the dating/makeout rituals of youth.

speaking of girdles, I barely remember when the ban the bra movement was the one social movement of the 60's that was particularly near and dear to my heart.

an enchanting movement, and one that helped change the fit and finish of womens garments for the better afterwards.

Man, did that ever take me back!!
And they did it all without jumping around, fireworks or dancing girls. (not that I'd mind the dancing girls!)

remember when a movie ticket cost $0.50 and on Saturdays if you went early for the matinee it was $0.25 and you could stay there all day. oh yeah and popcorn was $0.10, $0.15 if you wanted butter, one size, large.

I remember getting in to the Saturday movies by collecting Bridgeman milk carton logos!

Remember Pearl Harbor. BB39 USS Arizona. It still bleeds fuel to this day for the 1,177 souls entombed on it.

Indeed!

Our local Winn-Dixie had a tube tester at the front of the store, beside a cabinet full of the most common tubes to fit a Philco, an Admiral, or a Zenith.

When help was on the way
It's better here and now,
I feel that good today.

I'd like to take a walk
But not around the block
I really got some news
I met a man from Mars.
He picked up all my guitars
And played me traveling songs.
