......Flight attendants were known as "stewardesses" and they were all without exception comely lasses in their mid-20s, wearing miniskirts and go-go boots. The drinks were free, they actually fed you real food that was actually pretty tasty, AND YOU COULD SMOKE ON THE AIRCRAFT!

Ah, those were the days......

When you could stand on a street corner in Chicago and not have people that you have never met ask you for money that they need for the bus fare or something to eat or just because they do this so often it has become one of their bad habits.

On a scorchin' hot day you drank water from the garden hose. No bottled water or filters back then.

Or when it was a holliday and not one single business was open. And now you go to a grocery store to buy gasoline and not one person knows anything about putting air in your car tires.

I remember going to "dance concerts" at the Philadelphia Spectrum for $5.50 and seeing 2 or 3 bands and getting home at 2:00am. No laser beams, fireworks or huge productions. The biggest production show I ever saw was Alice Cooper's "Welcome to my Nightmare" show with Suzi Quatro opening.

I remember being allowed to bring a camera and take photos.

there were great songs coming out on the radio (am, transitor, made in japan) every week.

nobody debated whether tubes amps were better than solid state were better than modeling software.
