Reconnected with one of my teen crushes...we lived in the same building in Washington Heights/Inwood in Manhattan.
Us at 17

Our first date on July 2nd, 43 years later...it's been amazing since then; we're both like teenagers!

That is too cool! I reconnected with my High School sweetheart after 20 plus years. We're celebrating our 16th anniversary in September, and expecting our 13th grand-child in March, 2011!

Rick, that's fantastic. She has 2 grandchildren and her daughter is expecting her first baby in 2 weeks ( and driving her crazy). My son is still in college so I don't expect to have any grandkids for a few years yet.

What's nice is that we text each other all the time and speak to each other every night. I;m in Florida and she's in New Jersey, so it's not easy, but then again, at our age, we more or less know what we want.

The first day of my summer vacation I woke up.
Then I went downtown.
To look for a job.
Then I hung out in front of the drug store.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

As a teacher, I have the summer off; I usually spend 5 minutes looking for a job then start my vacation
This summer, I drove up to Washington DC for a conference, then up to NJ and NY, hung out, flew back down to Florida to help my son drive his car up to CT, stopping in Philadelphia to get housing for him at Temple U. Then I hung out with my new gf and my brother, drove out to Cleveland with my son to the Rock and Roll HOF and Cedar Point Park, drove back to CT and NJ, then finally back down here to FL. I think I put around 4,000 miles on my car.

Great stor! Very happy for you. My wife and I dated on and off for about 17 years. I finally wised up and married her about a year and a half ago and we have a great marriage and have a beautiful 6 mo. old baby girl now. It just goes to show when the time is right, it's right.

Wow...your children started really young. Married only 16 years and 13 grandchildren. Your oldest can only be 15-16

Yes, I was making a joke....
