Guys, I will be honest, I have a Fender problem. There is only one other guitar IO play and that is Gretsch. The rest are all Fender. I absolutely LOVE Strats and Teles. For some reason the only other guitar that feels right in my hands is a Gretsch. What about you guys??

well i've only ever played fender (well one's a squier) but and i LOVE both of them. my next one will be a strat deluxe. but i'd be willing to try a new brand for a while. either gibson or epiphone. but i know i'll always be a diehard fender fan. gibson seems to be going down in quality rather quickly anyway.

We are talkin' deep NEEDS here, pal. :D

I need a Albert Collins model Tele with the humbucker in the neck position.

I had a Gretsch back in the day you would flip for: It was a late 50's Duo-Jet in black with PAF Filtertrons. I giged with it some and it got a killer sound. It had the Gretsch "G" tailpiece instead of a Bigsby.

Sometimes I think I am even sillyer for the amps. :(

My Strats get 90% of my playing time, so no, I don't think it's weird at all. If you like it, you like it. :D

I've played my stratocaster for 25 years, and also own a gibson 335. I play my stratocaster a hell'av a lot more than the 335, and now looking to get a telecaster. So, no I don't think it's wierd to want only Fenders. They are great guitars. Besides, they feel better in my hands. I like the necks better than any Gibson I've ever played.

I own five Gibson Les Pauls but to be honest, I haven't played any of them very much in over two years now.

I have played Fender, BC Rich, Jackson, Charvell, Gibson, and ESP's, and in the end I have always come back to FMIC Stratocasters.

Hello, my name is Richard and I have a FMIC Stratocaster addiction. I have given up on all other guitar brands and I only own Stratocasters from FMIC. I have been looking at Teles, but I fear that will open up another avenue of my addiction.

Hi Gang,
Its Fender all the way for me. I have "tried " to stray from the farm... but the other brands just don't feel the same...

as a musician and player i cant limit myself to 1 brand of guitar. its impossible. theres so many companies out there making beautiful works of art with unbelievable craftsmanship, how could i?
i wouldnt dare say that fender ranks above them all, because they dont.
if i play a guitar i like, i buy it. it doesnt matter who makes it as long as the quality is there. i have a custom jackson setting right here that will smoke most fenders like a cheap cigar.
(yes before fender bought them out) even though i have it, i still buy fender if i like the way the fender plays. i have many different brands because i like many different guitars.
i know people that say "i only like fenders". yeah thats because they havent ever played any quality guitars other than their fender.
limiting yourself to one guitar company is like limiting yourself to one
scale or mode or to limit yourself to one style of music or to one band.

ummm....I must have gotten some crappy Gibsons, Jacksons, ESP, BC Rich's. Don't get me wrong, at the time I bought these guitars, they served a purpose and filled it well. They were all awesome guitars. All I am saying is I have owned other brands, and I have always come back to Fender.

Are there other better guitars out there...yes. Are they for me...no.

hey you may have, theres a lot of garbage out there by those companies you mentioned.
not everything they made was junk by no means, but a lot of it sure was.
same with fender, they too turn out a lot of garbage. yes it will be found on the lower end as with the companies you mentioned above, but they are there nontheless. ESP use to make some nice stuff before they started that LTD stuff.

hey to each his own.
thats why in my original post i was talking about me.
im looking at a SG diablo sunday morning. cherry in color.
yeah these arent for everybody either.
i just like a diverse choice of guitars. not to pat myself on the back for but for different tones and character. honestly, you can buy 3 or 4 fenders and have the better of the production line. funny thing is they arent the top of the line fenders either.
