What an awesome writeup and terrific pictures! I got to meet him on this same tour and was also surprised by the softness of his handshake. Found your post while looking for other stories that concur. :)

Wow. I never read past the first three sentences in long posts like that as they are usually so boring. Yours was the one exception. I give you credit for writing such an interesting and captivating post. I share your enthusiasm for Brian May, as he is as good a rock guitar player as anyone in my book. Congrats on the experience.

That's very cool. When I was in the Air Force stationed in Japan, I got the chance to Jam 2 nights in a row with Mitch Mitchell. He was doing a USO tour through the Pacific with his blues band. The other guitar player and drummer in our band went to their show and talked to the band members and they came to our rehearsal. Our drummer asked Mitch if he wanted to sit in on the drums and for both nights he played through everything we did. He was a great drummer and lots of fun. A very sweet man and his band was awesome as well.

Brian May is very intelligent as well as being an incredible musician. You give me hope for your generation by even knowing who he is.
