I just got the 2007 Crossroads Festival for Christmas. When it came to Jeff Beck's section, I thought his Daughter was on Stage with him. Then she started playing and it was like a Mad Scientist transfered Wilbur Bascomb's brain into the head of a High School Class Treasurer.

After about 10 seconds, I was so zoned in on her hands and playing, I forgot she was a "Cute-as-a-Button" Twenty Year Old. By the end of the set, I realized I forgot to listen to what Jeff Beck was doing. She's in my Top 10 Fave Bass Player.

Bass Player magazine had a write-up about her a month or so ago. Seems she started on guitar then decided bass was really her instrument.

She's played with quite a few of the heavy hitters in jazz as well as rock and she seems to have her head screwed on pretty straight as well. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some big things happening with her in the not so distant future.

Maybe Fender should consider a Tal Wilkenfeld signature Jazz Bass. MIM so I can afford one. :|

Yeah I saw her on Crossroads and I also thought she was amazing. I did not expect that level of playing to come out when I saw her walk out with JB. She is AMAZING

I agree, she is amazing, but you should hear her teacher.

Sure, she's a great player, but this thread wouldn't exist if she wasn't a supah-hot miniature girlie. I know a dozen ugly guys who can play just as well.

Actually, it was her youth that impressed me. Most Jazz Bass players are in their 30's or 40's. It's the same amazemnt I felt when I saw Mr. Big open for Rush and saw young Billy Sheehan trading blows with young Pual Gilbert.

Hah! Guess it's not just me who thought that... 8)

And, yes, she is "supah-hot"... 8)
