I've never tried one but whatever brand Angus Young has been using since the 70's must be one high quality unit. I've never heard any interference or cutting out in the live concert videos I've watched, and nobody jumps around as much as Angus.

Always seemed like a great idea. But I've never had a problem live, I have had assholes on stage $@!& up my pedals however.

I guess that it would give you more freedom if you were the type to jump around all over the stage while playing or climbed the monster PA bins to do a solo but other than that I think I'd rather have quality cables.

I have and use one when I gig out..I love them. It is nice not to have someone accidentally step on my cable..:) Plus I never have to worry about the cord coming out of my guitar.

WC,
I have the Nady uhf4 and love it! The way you are talking will be perfect for your set up. Unless you get crazy and walk way away from the stage you shouldn't have any issues with it. Let me know if I can be of any help with it!

your the man, thank you.
im buying this used off craigs list.
i trust the seller and i'll be going to his house on sunday to looksee.
i use to have a old nady yrs ago. 1 antenna.
it was ok but signal started to break up at about 30ft with very slight delay in signal at about 20-25 ft. i just need to be able to get out and walk about
just for show every so often.

I use a Samson Airline and it has worked flawlessly for me for a couple years. We move quite a bit on stage and our female singer stands to my right and she does not stop moving so it is very convenient to not have a cable for either of us to trip over. Also we play some big stages sometimes and it is nice to be able to move around without any restrictions.
