..........I think we all know that TGS would be "takin' it downtown"....a blind bluesman could see it from a mile away...........

Way to smoke the fretboard TGS (wish I was there to see it), you are All World in my book......

That's absolutely fabulous TGS/Rebecca,to get such a publc compliment from a musical giant like Hubert Sumlin is an endorsement of the highest order. You have every right to be proud and loud.I have no doubt that someday we'll see you in the pages of Guitar Player etc.If Hubert says that you're great, you're destined for greatness.Congratulations and keep it up.

Just spent a good hour trying to post, only to have the stupid PC automatically log me out and lose the post. :x I'll have to post tomorrow guys, I really have to sleep now.

It's all a pretty interesting story that involved a surprise jam at Antone's, but it'll have to wait. :P You all get to hang in suspense now.

Mike, if I can find you tomorrow morning I'll tell it to you in person. :) I would have already but I thought you already knew it.

Fabulous! It's always great when you get news of someone you "know" (at least by posting) having something seriously positive happen. The othe great thing is that it isn't some long deserved "finally late in life" honor -- you know we're going to be hearing from TGS for along time.

Any time men, especially old men, rave about a female, they got panties in mind. Just sayin'. BTW, I live right up the road, you got her e-mail? I would like to jam with her. Since she's so good, I might learn a thing or two!

In Texas, right up the the road is 100 miles.

Dude, totally not true... if I give anybody props, male or female, it's because they deserve it. I know plenty of other guys like that too...

8hank31, that is not true and definitely not cool. :?

Rebecca's like our own little star, and we are all thrilled with her success and potential for even greater achievement. 8)

I don't have any video, but here are a couple of pictures from this evening's festivities.

Here's texasguitarslinger playing a jazzy number. The drummer is Ernie Durawa of the Texas Tornados.

For what it's worth, here's a shot of my very first performance in front of an audience. I'm the one wearing the gin-u-wine Indiana Jones hat.
