Well mates, the Dr did some MRIs of my shoulder and arm and on August 3rd I will be going under the knife to repair the labrum in the shoulder, and to have the bicep reattached to my shoulder. Not worried, kind of psyched because the pain will finally go away and I will be able to get back to normal activities. I will be on convalescent leave for 45 days!!! So, you will probably see a ton of posts on my side..:)
ABS :D

Martin ACH has a great orthopedic department, ABS......I'm sure you'll be back to hitting a Delta Zulu in no time.

Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

Arjay

Ouch!

That sucks (with a capital "S")!

Back in the day, jump pay was a great tax-exempt way to pay for a brand-new Pontiac GTO or a Plymouth Road Runner.

I do feel your pain, ABS.

Arjay

Dude, before the surgery ask the doctor if you'll be able to play the violin after you recover. If he says yes, say "great I never knew how before" ha ha.

In all seriousness good luck and heal fast.

Just remember all pain meds work a little better when taken with Jameson's

Heal quickly my Army Brother, and enjoy the 45 days!

I still remember what the USAF flight surgeon wrote in my med records after the ortho doc put a 5 inch plate and 11 screws in my left leg and ankle - "I do not recommend a return to jump status. EVER!" (It kept me from being a battalion jump ALO - I think he thought he was doing me a favor!)

Eventually, with a waiver, I got back on flight status and never lost a day of flight pay! :D
