I have what has to be one of the all time suckfests of all time.

I am a fan of a band called 7 Mary 3. ...

That CD "The Economy of sound" (2001) was one of there best efforts, hard driving with great lyrics, but by then commercial radio had moved on and they could not get it played.

I was an assistant Engineer on that record. I have to say, i was NOT into them prior to, but they were a very nice bunch of guys and i had a great time getting to assist on that album. I agree GREAT songs i thought so I found myself having a new respect for them. I need to get that record now. thanks for reminding me.

For my pick I didn't even have to think about it...

Iron Maiden - one of my favorite bands but egad... the No Prayer for the Dying album was poo. It was recorded and released during a crappy time. Nirvana came out and deflated the rock scene and they were going through a line up change with Adrian leaving and Bruce with one foot out the door. Thank god they all rejoined in 2k and were better than ever.

I am okay with Vapor Trails. What I can not tolerate by Rush are their live albums (except for their first one -- All the World's A Stage -- back when Geddy's voice was really strong). The funny thing is that Rush is awesome in concert ... but I hate their live albums. Weird, huh?

See, I find that most of the live albums have the same problem. Over over over compressed. Vapor Trails is one of my favorite albums that I just can't listen to. The mastering is absolutely painful on it.

For those not familiar with The Loudness War or who want to brush up on it, here's a fantastic video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvheOquA ... re=related

+1 on Roots to Branches RRH!

I also don't like ''The Spaghetti Incident?'' by Guns N' Roses, Just Push Play by Aerosmith or River by Izzy Stradlin!

Agreed on all! ESPECIALLY St. Anger. What was THAT all about???

For some reason, I kind of liked RIAHP, but it's just not the same without all of the members of the band.

Anything that came after "Draw the Line" by Aerosmith. They abandoned their roots...and their real fans to become a ballad/pop act instead of one of the hardest rock bands ever...which they once were. They need to revisit the "Rocks" album.

*Capo I used to think that about "Never Say Die" as well but now that I've gotten older I think it just might be their best album. They were heading a new direction and Ozzy's voice is incredible on that album.
Give it another listen if it's been awhile.

'Zero Tolerance for Silence' by Pat Metheny.

Just too different from the usual, not bad, but different.

I know that Ozzy was out of his head most of the time in the later years, but I really like all the later Sabbath albums starting with Sabotage. The band was clearly trying to stretch themselves and their orchestrastrations. Just my opinion ...

I agree that this was a far cry from Who Are You, but I always liked this album. It had some great material on it.

Van Halen III-Van Halen

When I first saw this thread, I knew this one was coming. I think I am the only fan of this album. What really sealed it for me was seeing Halen live with Cherone -- they were soooo good on this tour, and I have seen Halen a bunch of times with both Roth and Hagar. The funny thing is they actually performed very little live from this album, playing (seemingly) mostly Roth-era tunes. They won me over big time.

I'm inclined to agree with you, though I consider it more of a solo album feel than a Who album. It just doesn't FEEL like The Who. Know what I mean? I think it's a terrific album, just not a terrific Who album.

I really liked those Schecter Teles Pete was playing back then.
