I play out with a Hot Rod Deluxe, but I try not to play with electronics. So when my amp developed this faint ringing in the background, only audible when I'm not playing, I pushed each of the tubes a bit, and the ringing stopped.

The ringing always comes back after I move the amp and then always stops when I push on the tubes. I am sure that I have a tube loose, and I am pretty sure that it's the third tube from the right as you face the back of the Amp.

So what do you recommend - besides going solid state. I love the sound without the ring around. How do I tighten the tube up? Or would I have to replace it, and if so, should I replace all the tubes?

tubes get weaker over time much like a light bulb. I'd replace them all.

I have heard that by carefully bending the pins outward slightly will give the tube a tighter fit
