For the first time in my life I am very disappointed in FMIC. Last December my wife had purchased a Frontman 212r for my Christmas gift it's a great sounding solid state amp and I absolutely love it to death but the issue here is that in the 7 months i've owned it i've had to get it replaced 5 different times, each time for the same exact problem, faulty electronics within the amp. i'm not trying to rip on fender here but this is utter bullshit and the thing that tops it off for me right now is that this time around fender is having me drive into Sacramento and go to rainbow electronics to get it replaced (45 minute drive) don't get me wrong I love fender and I always will but they really need to do something about their quality control issues overseas.

Oops my mistake, I never checked the frontman 212, too loud for my small place.

Hmmm, I've had my FM 212R for over a year and have never had any problems with it... maybe this amp is just like everything made these days, some are good, most have at least one little thing wrong with them

And my dad drove past Rainbow Electronics today I think (it's near Loaves and Fishes if I'm not mistaken) on our way to what's left of the K Street mall to catch this local band we like

That really is unfortunate about the problems you're having. My daughter is using a Frontman 25R. No problems, a solid amp. Hope they get you up and working. Her 25R is made in Indonesia. Not that really maters either, I guess.

So many products are made overseas and have been for the last 40-50 years. It is sad that quality control let this one slip through. I do not have a fender amp. I have a Epi electro tube amp and have been well pleased with it for a number of years.

But the good news is that you can always plug headphones into your guitar and practice

I got tired of the overseas thing, and went Mesa for my bass amp gear. Made in U.S.A. The MB series Marshalls are made in Vietnam, the Ampeg BA series are made in China. I got fed up with the Marshall MB450H head fans making so much noise when using them in studios.

Location: In a house....unless I'm at work....then I'm in a shop.
My two MAIN amps are American made, and there not for sale.

My latest amp is the Fender 600 that I know was made in China, but I could not find an American made tube practice amp these days, so there you are.

I would suggest you get a different amp, the Peavey Ultra 60 212 is a good solid American made amp.
Three channel the clean is nice and crisp, the crunch and main channels can do almost any modern/classic rock sound you my want.

I have had mine to 10 years with 0 issues.
