A friend called up with an extra ticket to see the Steve Miller Band tomorrow night in Sacramento at Raley Field, the home of the Rivercats. Supposedly good seats, either front row or fourth row depending on where I end up, so no complaints there. I haven't heard any of his new album, I guess I'll have to do some sampling today. Anybody else heard it, any thoughts? Anyway, looks like I'll be spending Saturday night with the Space Cowboy 8) .

I have had friends that have been very impressed by Steve Miller, saying he did some real nice guitar work. The venue though is a little questionable (I am familiar with it as I went to school at UC Davis) ... a little big and likely not great acoustics, but it sounds like you have great seats. Hope you have a good time.

Saw them in March of 08, and it was an awesome show! I like the new album. It's really bluesy, and keeps true to Steve Miller's sound. Have fun!

Sounds good! Have fun. :D

Oh and his new album is really good. I need to buy it as soon as I get the chance. He covers three Jimmie Vaughan songs on it,
so no complaints here.
