I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the different pedal board power supplies. Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2, Modtone Power Plant, and the PedalGear JuiceBox were a few that I were looking at.

Was wondering if anyone has any experience with these and if so if anyone has a preference.

Also I have a Pedaltrain PT-2 and I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not the juicebox can be mounted on the underside of it.

thanks in advance !

hi supah,

dont have any experience with those unfortunatly.

but i have just brought a diago power station and can highly recommend it. its now powering my board... and there isnt a scrap of noise. im running a wah>compressor>ts808>bd-2> lil big mff>delay/looper>tuner and not a prob powering any of those, theres a list on the site to check compatibility with your pedals...

look them up, they power up to 30 pedals safely without adding any noise or your money back. www.diago.co.uk

they come with a daisy chain to power 6 pedals and you can buy more if you need it.

defo worth considering.

all the best

Hey Man,

I have the Voodoo Labs brand. It is very good and dependable... Now that I have a little more experiance, I think I should have gotten a Boss tuner (about the same price) with that you can power 7 or 8 other pedals...
Just my 2 cents

I use the Dunlop DC Brick but I have also heard some pseudo-interesting things about the VooDoo Labs one in that you can set the unit for slightly less than 9 volts (called voltage sag)which some people claim give overdirve and distorion pedals a bit of an edge. I suspect though that the time based FX like chorus, delay, flange etc. might be happier with a full 9 volts.

DC Brick here too.
Running a couple of 18v, and 4 or 5 9V pedals no issues.

Except more wires to get tangled up

I use a Visual Sound 1 Spot. I only run a couple pedals when I gig, but if I record with anyone, I have roughly 5 or 6 mostly vintage analog pedals and it handles them all just fine.

if you lose some cables for the DC BRICK, where can you get the replacements at?
