Am new to this forum. Played in bands from 1975-81 as a teenager in Arkansas, then went to medical school to help finance my non existent rock star career - good thing. Practice in California.
Been playing a strat since 1987. Started playing again recently after a 15 year hiatus and having a lot of fun doing so. Just put a downpayment on a custom shop Strat! can't wait.

Thanks CC,

I bought it in 1987 after selling my white anniversary strat that had a cracked finish. In retrospect I should have kept it. Anyway the 87 has one of those serial numbers that meant it could have been produced during the CBS-non CBS transition period. It has the 2 point tremolo and small headstock. Next time I get it set up I'll check the date on the neck. Black strat, Maple neck all original hardware. Replaced the pickguard and knobs to all black. Plays like a dream.

As you can see, I'm somewhat of a traditionalist. My CS won't be though!

Hi Bill and thanks. I hail from Jacksonville. Went to Fayettenam for College then Little Rock. Mom and sis still in Little Rock. I moved to San Francisco in 91 and recently to SoCal but still go home to visit at least yearly. Go Hogs. Steve Evans at J'ville guitar is a friend and his store is fantastic.
