indeed! Thanks for sharing Mike... great great news. My all time favorite band. Dear Mr. Gilmour, i know a spectacular place to pick for your guest appearance... the IZOD center Nov 3rd... you'll get to see the new Giants Stadium too...

I'll be praying... who knows, maybe they'll have such a good time they'll decide to do the tour together... High Hopes as another poster said. Either way, its so nice to see them burying Eugene's Axe. Just too bad Sir Richard Wright is not around to see it. RIP Rick and Syd.

One of my altime favourite bands. I adore Pink Floyd. This is amazing news. I remember watching Live8 on TV and seeing them together again playing those songs was just unreal.

I think the most encouraging news about this whole thing is the fact that David reached out to Roger to do this. That and the fact that he promised to play "Comfortably Numb" at one of Roger's shows if he WOULD do it.

:D

That would be amusing since Roger Waters all but wanted to fire Richard Wright from PF years ago. It's what started the breakup.

And as such, aside from the other musicians, Richard was the only one to make a profit from The Wall tour as he was a salaried player by that point. Roger, David and Nick lost tons of money from that.

Yeah I see your point, don't know the story in full, but I'm sure there was a lot more to it, anyhow no point in living with your teeth grinding about the past and what could / should have been, who was right / wrong, who made more money, I'm sure their all extremely well off financialy just on the back of Dark side of the moon alone

Roger mentioned a couple of years ago that all these years he's been writing and singing songs about people living together in peace and reconciliation. It came to him that the issues between him and David are contradictory to his message he tries to make in his music.

I'm sure their are other things...like ego and possibly money... as Roger sued the other 3 to claim ownership to "Pink Floyd" but maybe a thawing in the relationship is beginning. Unfortunately, too late for a PF Reunion with Richard Wright gone but who knows what could happen?

Yeah nothing like an all time best selling album to send your ego into orbit it would seem, sure there's a room full of recordings of Richards they could collaberate on and make some great music again
