So, does anybody have any?

Compliments of my grandparents, about a year ago I acquired something straight from Memphis that used to belong to "The Killer" (Jerry Lee Lewis). Actually he lives on the outskirts, but that's still Memphis.

It's a metal bronze looking treble clef type of gate ornament. I'm not sure what kinda metal, it's a little heavy, but it's in great shape. At the bottom of it is a little bracket that has two holes in it, obviously for mounting purposes.

Here's the story:

This was told to my grandparents, by this old couple at a yard sale from which they bought it from ( for a measley buck = $1.00, I love yard sales). But anyway, years ago somebody wrecked their car into Jerry Lee's gate. Well, it done enough damage to total the gate, he had to get a new one put up, so after the new one was installed, they just left the old one laying in the ditch. So after awhile people started coming along and snatching parts off of it. But the old yard sale couple never told where "they" got it (I would hate to think the Memphis elderly community was pillaging off of "The Killer")

I can't find any information on the Net about that gate, not even a picture of what it looked like, or what the new installed one looks like. I'm gonna try and get a picture so I can post it.

hehe...I'm willing to trade one Jerry Lee gate treble clef, for one Elvis gate note.......actually I would rather have had Elvis' than Jerry's :D

Thats a pretty cool story. You should post a picture of the gate ornimant. I like Jerry Lee Lewis. He's actually the person that first inspired me to want to become a musician. I'm still waiting for my chance to set a piano on fire on stage.

Does a guitar pic from Rich Robinson count. Front row last summer...

everyone was yelling and screaming about setlist and pics and then I said to the roadie...

"Please sir do you think I could have a pic?" he looked up at me like I was crazy, shook his head and then handed me a pic.

I also have a autographed concert poster and setlist from Marc Ford. Again front row last fall. Was able to meet Marc and the band after the show and actually talked for about fifteen or twenty minutes. Was really cool. if you don't know who he is check out the jukebox at www.marcford.net.
