I bring 2 a Strat and a Tele. Why, because I like to change them out on certain sets. I tend to play light so broken strings are not really an issue for me. I also just go straight into my amp and use the reverb from my amp as my effect so no need for pedals. I can't imagine taking more than that...too much to worry about.

I use an SCXD as my amp, 10" speaker in a 15 watt combo. I bring 2 guitars because you should always have a back up. I have a DI for direct connection to the PA as a back up for my amp. I keep everything to a minimum, I'm 51 years old and I don't like to carry anything I don't have to. I wish I could just take an amp and single guitar and just pack that up and leave when the show is over. I have to disassemble the light rig and help with the PA and help load all the other equipment. This is band bonding time. We can get everything dissassembled and packed up in about 45 minutes. We are a 9 peice with a horn section and light show.
