Think about it, Every person may see a different color spectrum. For example your red might be their blue but you will both identify the color as red because everybody is taught that this color is red or blue or green ect. and even though their red may be your blue you will still be able to point out the color red because that was the name that you were taught to pair with that color.

You are too funny! But yes, I understand what you are saying. I am color blind and my wife has taught me how to identify certain colors...sometimes I have to really concentrate on a color before I say it is this or that..LOL can make for some entertaining times.

Think about it, Every person may hear a different Sound spectrum if you will. For example your F might be their Bb but you will both identify the note as F because everybody is taught that this note is an F or a Bb or a C# ect. and even though their Bb may be your F you will still be able to point out the note F because that was the name that you were taught to pair with that note

ive thought about this for quite some as well... another thing ive always wondered is what is it like being blind... is it just blank white or black, or some more absolute nothingness that those with sight cant comprehend?

That's about as crazy as my theory of "time within time doesn't change". Go with that one, and good luck!

You might enjoy the writings of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. His epistemology is based on the idea that we can never truly understand one another because of differences in the way we perceive things. 8)
