Hi all, well I have had a very busy week singing from gig to gig every day of the week.

Yesterday I had a massive gig to perform at but I woke up in the morning before the show with a very sore throat and croaky voice.

I tested my vocals and couldn't get the notes needed for my show that morning.

This stressed me out to the point that I rang my bass player with consideration to cancelling our show.

Well after our discussion we agreed to see how I would go at sound check and then make a decision.

Sraight after our phone conversation I went to a Chemist and the girl in the store recommended BIOGLAN Rapid Action Throat Clear.

They are Honey and Lemon Sugar free herbal Lozenges that FIXED my throat 2 hours before my show.

I was able to sing without struggling and still hit the notes and phrasings I needed to do.

I swear that these things worked for me..
I strictly state that I am not a sales rep or anything other than a muso trying to help other vocalist with tips on a quick cure for voice loss...

I use Osha root for all my throat ailments, aka Bear root & Snake root. Mother natures cures work for me :D

I used to make a drink called a Decadent Dickie that was 1 1/2 oz. London Dock Rum (100 proof) 1 oz. Grand Marnier and pour it into a cup of very sweet coffee, that usually did the trick but you had to be careful because if you had 3 or 4 you didn't care how you sounded.

I found a "Clear Voice Spray" at a local shop, and that works very well too. I was singing classical music when I found it, so I had plenty of chances to try it out. Definetly worth that 14 or so dollars.

Slice a lemon and suck on the juice if you can,it's not for everybody, but it definitely helps.
Gregg Allman always has a small plate full on his B-3 at least when I've seen him...and you know how he growls.
