If you spent time with some real Bluesmen like David "Honeyboy" Edwards, the late Robert Lockwood Jr., Luther Allison, Pine Top Perkins, John Lee Hooker, Eddie Clearwater, Charlie Musslewhite etc, and see how respectful, giving and talented the real Bluesmen are, and how most of them never made the kind of money or received the recognition Mayer receives even though they are much better songwriters, singers and guitarists, you'd be peeved too. They are and were genuinely humble and talented artists.

I didn't call him moronic. I called his post moronic.

Oh the irony.

Oh the continued ignorance of BCB.

Here is you entire quote from the thread about Gibsons...that I responded to.

I surely wouldn't trade a 34 Martin for a LP. But then again Gibson doesn't currently make ANY guitar that appeals to me. Vintage Gibbys yes, but post 1978 no thanks.

Please explain to the forum wise a@# where in the above quote there is one argument you make to back up your opinion. You didn't give an argument to back up your opinion and that is your right. All you offered was your opinion. Fine, but this situation was completely different because you offered no arguments to back up your opinion therefore their was nothing to argue on the merits.

With my statements in this thread I not only offered my opinion but offered arguments to back up my opinion which no one has challanged on the merits.

Failed once again.

Ozzy Rules!!!

I see your point. Thanks for taking the time to explain to me why you don't like John Mayer. Fair enough.

If you read further on in that topic you will see where I stated my reasoning behind said comment. Of course, you left that out because it would prove that you are once again wrong and lashing out at someone who doesn't agree with you.

Epic failure on your part yet again, but we are all used to that by now.

You posted quotes from me responding to your post at the time in that topic. Those quotes are locked in time.

You offered those quotes as evidence that I am a hypocrite.

I tried to explain to you thick neanderthal shaped skull that during that point in time of that thread it was impossible to argue with your opinion because at that point in the thread you had only offered an opinion and no arguments to back it up.

Then today you take my quotes out of context to try prove I am a hypocrite. Taking quotes out of context is an obvious failure of logic and only HIGHLIGHTS YOUR POOR REASONING SKILLS!

Give yourself an F for the day.

Bottom line, you called my opinion moronic without even inquiring my about reasoning. To you the fact that I wouldn't want a Les paul guitar that wasn't vintage was moronic, because you disagree with my opinion. Fact of the matter is, no one has to provide you with any reasoning at all behind holding an opinion on anything including John Mayer or Les Paul guitars or whatever topic you will decide to pop off about next. Your reputation as a crybaby and a person who is not here to add to the forum in a positive way precedes you. Like always, you go ahead and get the last word and throw around some more little weak insults and we will all move on, as we do everytime you have one of your little hissy fits.

The bottom line you have the reasoning skills of a two year old.

You and others have ever right to your opinion. Fine.

But when you and others "POP OFF" about musicians you don't like I will be there to remind you and others that art is subjective and that your time would be better spent being positive about the music and artist you love then trying to tear someone down.

You also seem to have a problem with using we rather than I when you write. Are you writing for others in your post?

I know...you are the self appointed spokesman for the fender forum.

Knitgirl, you seem to have a pretty short fuse.

Brad, I think it's time to lock this one before it gets really ugly.

When it comes to personally attacking forum members, I do. :?
Public figures are fair game. Consumers buy their products and have a right to complain about the products or the people making them.

Defending Mayer is one thing, calling someone names over an opinion is pathetic.

Personally attacking another forum member does not follow the "Rules of Conduct". People shouldn't be personally attacked and called names over an opinion. If you have a problem with BlackCatBone just ignore his posts. Seems like any time he posts something you're on him. You're attitude towards other people on this forum is starting to get old. I wish you'd ignore my comments as well.

63supro I agree with your comments, but don;t worry about "her" comments towards me. At this point they are nothing more than comical and everyone has noticed by now that "she" shows up in every topic I post on with some snide remark. For me it is just amusing. "She" takes offense to someone tearing down an artist "she" likes (never defending others who get ripped on) and "she" takes offense to someone using "poor reasoning skills" as if anyone here has to defend their opinions to "her". The only opinion that matters to "her" are those that are in agreement with "hers". It's always the same story, the same weak comebacks and accusations. WE, the members of this Forum who are here to chat peacefully with each other, enjoy conversing about music, Fender guitars and other topics all know "her" reputation precedes "her" as a crybaby. Sure we don't ALL always agree with each others POV's but for the most part the rest of us handle it like adults and give our opinion and keep it moving. "She" just likes to come in and take "her" shots and never contribute a single thing positive to this forum. Sure I don;t always agree with everyone else on here and I WILL bag on John Mayer (as many do), but I don't take offense to anything anyone posts on here or actively look to call anyone out on their opinions. I enjoy coming here and the camaraderie of the Fender forums and it's members. There is one in every crowd that is going to act out like "KnitGirl" does nearly ever time "she" posts. I just say my piece, let "her" get "her" little last word and insult in the move on.

I mean think about it, what exactly has "KnitGirl" contributed to this forum in her 148 posts here other than drama, petty insults and whining?

Nothing.

Weird stuff. And no, Ozzy doesn't rule. He ruled 35 years ago when I was a kid. Now he's just respected for his past accomplishments and staying alive.
Sorry, couldn't help it. I wonder if knitgirl really IS John Mayer? Stranger things have happened. What other woman on this forum ever discussed her bodily reproductive functions? Strange, very strange.

Sorry, just couldn't help myself.
