Hey, hey, my, my is a song very similar in cadence to this one that I just wrote, but possibly different enough so as not to get sued, if I ever got a nickle in royalties for this one that's copyright 2010 Strat58cat, all rights reserved. Kidding aside, we've had a couple of big shocks where I live lately. Also, I've been having a lot of fun playing this old Neil Young song, 'Hey, hey, my, my" on my Stratocaster. So I worked up some lyrics that express what's been going on around here. When I wrote it, I realized that it's not about any one person, because we have had a couple of things happen.

A king is gone,
but he's not forgotten.
Yeah he threw it out,
like it was rotten.
There's more in this picture
than meets the eye.
He is gone, but he's not forgotten.

His demons got him
what was it they taught him?
A life of lies
ends with a big surprise?
What's in this picture,
we can't surmise.
He is gone but he's not forgotten.

He was cool,
now he plays the fool.
For a devil's stitch,
that made a doctor rich.
Did he think he would turn out
well that way?
He is gone but he's not forgotten.

The mystery is deeper,
he wasn't some strange creeper.
A king is gone, but he's not forgotten.
