i always check e-bay for deals, and it helps me get an idea of pricing on used equipment. however, i can't believe how many people i see who don't know what they are talking about

an ad for a fender princeton amp states "180 watts of raw power". and to prove it there is a picture of the back. it does say 180 watts. i'm no genius, but isn't that the power consumption, not power output?

when you put this out there, it makes me less likely to bid on your item.

one more rant, if you will. i have seen ads for used amps that might at first look like a good price. by the time you add shipping, you are very close to the price of a new amp. if your amp with shipping is 279, and i can go online and get a new one for 299 plus free shipping, guess where i'll be going

i'd like to hear if other people feel the same. am i wrong on this? i know the market decides pricing, but i know that i see many items relisted that probably aren't selling due to the owner wanting too much

Some sellers don,t really know what they are selling just tryin to sell something to make a few bucks. I think if you are buying something off of ebay do your research and know what you want to pay. DON,T GET CAUGHT UP IN BIDDING WARS. Ive got some good deals off of the bay you just have to be careful.

I do know what I'm on about when I sell and item and if anyone wants to ask me a question they can. I am knowledgeable about what I sell as I have used the equipment or item. peace
