well i did it. iv been searching and GASing for a new amp for so long now, about a year and a half. finally decided to get it done. i got rid of the old deville and purchased a used AC30. i really like the tone of the AC30 better than the Deville, it seems more natural and very easy to break up. tone cut is a sweet option.

college student was accepted into KU law school and needed to thin things out lol. he said he's keeping his fender pro sonic and custom vibrolux and his custom shop strats, everything else had to go. (why does a college student have custom shop gear..???) ANYWAYS!!! this amp is less than 2 years old and has brand new JJ tubes. bought it for $700 tolex is a bit rough but its all cosmetic.

ill probably rock it out stock for a while then upgrade with either celestion blues, greenbacks, G12s or vintage 30s. lol... well here comes the GAS again.

my next endeavor is going to try to trade and/or buy some sweet pedals. iv been trying out new boosts to drive my vox, found some sweet fuzz, but i havent really decided yet. right now im test driving a keeley katana boost and a 60's tonebender. i like the tonebender tho!

Strat's sound great through an AC 30-just listen to Rory Gallagher-If you're into The Beatles the next step would be a toaster pup Ric,A Gretsch Tennessean or Chet Atkins or an Inspired by John Lennon Casino these guitars sound sweet through an AC 30.Anyway congrats on a classic amp and such a good deal.
