From their product spec pages? They have removed a lot of info like guitar body type, finish, neck radius and other stuff.

I don't have an answer but I share your concern.

I prefer detailed specs and product pics to PR puff-sheet hype and images of artist-endorsers, most of whom I've never heard of and couldn't care less about.

It's odd that they'd do something like that because most people buying guitars rely on specs to narrow down their choices so they have some idea what models to check out when they go into a music store.

I noticed it too while browsing for acoustics. One day it was there, the other it was very basic...

Retroverbial: true about the artist images, who cares who plays this guitar (or more likely not...)

When Leslie West comes to mind, this is the guitar I think of......

And yes, it's fifty-three years old and it's mine.

I still prefer mine though.
I got to know his music thanks to this guitar. But of course he played most of his career on the Junior. Nice one you got there 8)

Just checked out the Eric Johnson strat...why would they not list the nitrocellulose finish? It's definitely a selling point.

The removal of specs makes me suspicious about changes in Fender guitars that they don't want us to know about.

I agree. I'm always checking out the finer points of a guitar (i.e. the finish).

I've noticed this as well.

...Though ironically more product/artist information of that sort was exactly one of the things Forum users wanted when Brad asked us for suggestions last year prior to doing the product pages re-design. I guess you can't please all the people all the time!

Still, like others I don't get why the technical specs have suddenly been shrunk so much - which must have been a lot of work to do across all the product pages. Has anyone asked Brad himself about it yet...?

Cheers - C

I've noticed that too. Since I'm looking for a new guitar, I like looking at the specs to see what I want. That was a huge selling point of the fender website.

What's going on, Fender??????

I can't locate the Fender guitar/bass body colors chart anymore as well.

Maybe the musician fanboys are taking over LOL. Fender IMO is really removing a lot of important information. I don't give a rat's arse what performer is using what piece of gear.

+100000000000000000000

Amen to that.

Give me something that plays well. Give me the stats. Give me the specs. Give me useful information, not some lame advertiser's trick.

Bravo 63supro; I totally agree. Who cares what guitar a pro is given to use, and be seen using on stage anyway.
