They've already flushed out the half of the band the producer didn't like. The drummer and keyboard player weren't invited, they're going to use studio musicians to play their parts. If I get flushed later on, oh well. It's not the end of the world. lol

The name of the band is just the lead singer's name. It's her solo project.

bingo! there it is.
yep its all about her as i stated.
ok so you do the recordings and she moves on. (it is her solo project right)
ok what if one of the songs goes big? what will happen is shes just found some warm blood to play some background tracks.
if they like her stuff they will have musicians waiting on standby ready to work. if it goes anywhere, dad wont float the bill for everybody i promise you. it will get expensive rather quickly.
she will have pro musicians willing to jump in and dad will pay them, they are pro and will make daddys girl look and sound even better.
the pro's will either get paid up front and call it a day, or, they will work for royalties cuts and hope for the best. dude you better get some understanding going on up front before you get this under way.
im just saying.

Hey TGS,
Have fun,get the experience, trust nobody except your dad,and play your best.
Don't believe it when people tell you,"trust me...that's a number 1 song"...or..."That song is gonna make you famous."
It can be a cutthroat little world, and if you do make it big someday, people will come out of the woodwork to get near you and be your friend.
There's a name for lots of people around here in Music City for that type,..."gurm"...I guess that's the spelling....means something along the lines of,*a suckin' up hanger on,...I'm cool 'cause I know a star, type person*

I don't believe you should worry about this stuff. It could take the fun out of it for you. Just take the ride, have fun, and be a teenager. What's the worse that could happen? You don't seem to have any expectations. Just enjoy. :D

Texas, I got a bit ahead of myself, there is College to think about and your day job coming up in August, turning pro right now would be a big commitment and if you think about it you do jam a lot at the pro level so you are a professional 8)

The coolest thing I've noticed texas, is you have a good head on your shoulders about this.

In my opinion, ride this one and see what happens. But as mentioned earlier, education is priority. Sure, music can make you a bit of pocket money. But in this day of age, I would hate to be a number one artist and not get paid for it.

Good thing to do is to go to colllege or what have you, keep playing all the while and maybe you can earn a bit on the side. The industry is not what it used to be 20 years ago when bands had private jets with their name on the side, sipping champagne on world tours.

Have fun, who knows what or where life takes you and your guitar :)
