So... it's a vintage Esquire? Original finish and everything? Or maybe a custom shop piece of art.... I can't tell for sure b/c the pic is kinda small and I ain't wearing my glass lol

no, no custom shop.
at this point we are guessing its from the first run after the truss rod was
designed into the neck in the late 50's.
need to get it up to gruhn guitars to see for sure.
we are basing this on some of the hardware.
right now it lives at the bank in the deposit box/safe room.
