2005 squier affinity strat, bought it for my girlfriend (now my wife) in a strat pack a few years back because she wanted to learn she played it for a week and it sat in the closet for a year until i pulled it out cleaned it and played it (the pickups are stock but when i had to take the scratch plate off to fix some bad wiring i was a dumbass and forgot to put the covers back on)

My 66 Vox Astro IV Bass ModelV273 still has the original flatwound strings on it they have a beautiful warm funky tone. The original owner must have really taken pains to keep the strings as clean as I do because I've owned it for about 30 years.I wish I knew the brand because they are phenominal strings. When I read Nevin's post about the original strings on his violin bass I figured I'd add this.

Good Lord - you might as well ask me to choose between my own eyeballs! I can't pick favorites amongst my babies: If I didn't love them all equally - they'd be so sad!

(Get a grip, Ceri.)

my number 2 would have to be my epi SG. Great tone, its just that its so damn uncomfortable I can barley play it.
