I learned Dream Weaver last week for a campout. It was fun, because its one of those songs that everybody knows at least some of the lyrics, so everybody was singing along

My favourite cheesy tune is the cool guitar solo in Top Gun... you know the one... when he throws Gooses dog tags over the side of the carrier... that still brings a tear to my eye. Talk to me Goose!

Ok I'm showing my age but we used to do TV theme songs to get audiences to participate...my favorite... Gilligan's Island

It was a great way to end the evening when the only audience left were stumbling to the bar for last call. Song also suitable for suggestive lyric changes that involve The Captain, Gilligan, Ginger, the Professor and Mary Ann.

Now these TV theme songs are suitable for baby boomer sing alongs at the campfire in the RV Park...

I have decided on Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name". It's good, cheesey and classic 80's hairband rock ha ha.

Love it, great song!

You goin' for the solo too?

I saw them last weekend at the O2 Arena in London. They are unbelievably good live. A faultless performance!

Russ

Yeah, I got it down now (well about 80% ha ha) I should be good in a few more days. Actually just started playing it on my G&L Legacy. Sounds a little closer than my tele.

I kinda learned one by accident....

I was playing my major penatonic scales, and one sounded like "Japanese Banana" by Alvin and The Chipmunks.

The E-B-G strings on the scale in about the 8th to 10th fret area is what sounded like it!
