Really, I cannot say that ALL participants have talent but there really
is talent out there.
As far as America having brain damage goes.... well.... I've got my observations.

Reality tv.... I'm not into that either and I think such programs make those activities and attitudes appear popular. The dangerous part about that is some people see someone doing a dangerous (read stupid) stunt and find
the risktaker admirable. 60-80 years ago such people who thrive on that
"livin' on the edge" lifestyle would be committed to a mental institution.

I catch it whenever I can. I prefer it to American Idol. At least this show is entertaining, whereas Idol has become a popularity contest rather than a true talent show.

I cannot disagree with you, there.

The popularity contests can get quite disgusting. It's too bad what happened to the likes of Brittany Spears and such celebrities and child stars. I feel bad for Gary Coleman. It's as though America's little buddy
got forgotten. Michael Jackson was another. With stories like that it's
a shame.

Anyway, as far as I am concerned, bad news and seedy subjects being all the rage while some serious issues are being ignored is simply downright foolish.

For NBC, America's Got Talent & Biggest Loser seems to be the best programs I've seen come in a long time.
CNN's Headline News became a Soap Opera gossip column.

There is a lot of talent out there - I see it in musical instrument stores -
unassuming people just playing an instrument sounding better than a lot of established so-called "pros".

I think there are a lot of successful entertainers who get their success off of confused people than with their talent.

We don't watch much TV, but it sounds like another boring show.
