I've seen some early MIM Teles and Strats with 7.25"

What year are you talking?

Okay, thanks guys, i discovered that my 97' Amerian standard stratis 9.5. The MIM Tele, is an 09' model. to answer the why question, per fender specs, 9.5 and 12 necks have the same specific neck relief and string height {action} setting recommendations, and 7.5's have different ones. I'm using those specs as a starting point, after that, the adventure begins! Finally, i still have no idea what radius an 09' Tele has. Carpe Dium!

Google Colonel John Stapp and write a 500 word essay due tomorrow :P  Remember, I'm 68 years old. There's a lot of 'dead' history long forgotten that forged the fabric of contemporary times. 8)

Most contemporary documentaries about the developments in aviation in post-war US feature footage of John Stapp's rocket sled studies with himself as the subject  . No monkeying arouind for him.
