I'm not being critical but I'm being factual, most music stores here except the el cheapo so called bargain stores won't stock Behringer gear because of it's poor performance and reliability. Some brought it in on a trial basis but were plagued with returns.Very good reliable pedals can be had for about the same price.I have 5 Danelectro pedals 3 with metal casing that are very sturdy and 2 with plastic casings.Despite the frailty of the plastic cases these pedals sound great and I have only paid between $30 and $50 for all their pedals.Cheap doesn't necessarily mean shoddy but when cheap and shoddy go hand in hand even a free pedal will cost you when it has to be repaired.BTW I've had the plastic pedals for almost 10 yrs and they still work great, you just have to be extra careful that you don't do the pedal board tap dance on them.

Look on craigslist for pedals. Alot of people are selling stuff in this bad economy.
Most music shops have used stuff that you can buy too. Cheaper.

Behringer aint bad despite what others are saying. They have a Bugera Line now. Its mostly amps and speakers, the first models had problems but now they've ironed it all out.

Im happy with my Bugera V22 amp.

I let the magic smoke out of a Bugera V22 amp right on the showroom floor. The salesman said Bugera and Behringer is the most returned stuff they sell. They're nothing more than cheap knockoffs of more famous equipment.

So, Im getting here late (as usual)...
Riley, thats a nice thing your uncle is doing for you, and a nice gift of your pedal. don't let these guys pee on your cake, It almost looks to me like they didn't read the post... If I were given a pedal or anything for that mater, I would be very grateful and not question the quality or integrity of the gift.

You are very lucky to have family wanting to help you out

Get those pics up... I want to see the new stuff!

Bill

It may be cheap and a POS but maybe it'll last long enough for him to save up for a pedal of his liking/choosing... and like I always say "Beggars can't be choosers". Plus I use a cheap Squier 20th Anniversary Bullet that my grandma gave to me for my birthday... my friends hate it but I love it lol

I have a Beringer wah pedal that seems to sound pretty good and I've had it for a couple of years. No problems yet. I also have an old Beringer solid state amp. It's not all bad. Does it sound like my Pro Junior? Hell no. But it sounds fine for screwing around. You use what you can afford sometimes.

Also, I would look into the Danelectro pedals. I own a few of them and they sound great and cheap,,,,,,man are they cheap.

i got it, i'll get onto that later. But for all of you people who were critizizing the pedal that i chose and wanted, you should be really ashamed. it isn't a peice of junk. it isn't a cheap rip off. i chose it. So why would you say behringer makes peices of crap over and over again?? i was actually gonna call my uncle and say cancle it, cause all the idiots on fender forum say behringer makes crap stuff, until it got here.

Anyway, it was one of the best choices ive made for a long time. its really really cool, if i hold it down, it gives me endless feedback instantly. great choice for my style of playing.

Riley, there's no need to get so defensive and huffy and especially no need for calling people idiots especially when we had your best interest at heart. I made all my statements based on experience dealing with different music businesses and I reiterate they all had to stop bringing in Behringer gear because of all the returns they were getting.I don't see how stating facts can make someone an idiot in fact it may take an idiot to make that assumption.I hope that the pedal brings you a lot of enjoyment and lasts longer than usual but in the meantime I think that you owe some people an apology.
