I recently bought a Behringer Gmx110 modeling amp... for my acoustic. im very satisfied by its sound quality, but (being an acoustic player) Im wanting a little more acoustic tone. Would plugging my acoustic into an acoustic modeler for an electric guitar give me the sound that i need?

Go to a big store and try it. GC and SA in particular have a gob of stompboxes and one of them should do what you want.

would it matter if i didnt use my own guitar though? i built the pickup in my CD-60 and my behringer amp is a special one. would the tests in the store be accurate?

If possible, bring your guitar and amp to the store. There will be a check-in and -out process at the door. Be nice.
