Change will affect our future because of the work we do now in the present, the past is gone forever. I used to go to a discussion group for men a few years ago and I met a lot of guys there in three years. Most of them (including me) seemed to struggle with the problem of the "choice". Your life goes in every direction, only you can change things, but you don't do it because you can't make the choice. Since then, I learned to make choices because I quit comparing myself to others. I found life to be more user friendly when I had only one value system, mine. I also often heard the guys say that their life was like a half full half empty glass situation. Seeing life like that is a dead end because it keeps you in the impossible choice situation. So I chose to have a smaller glass, it is always full.
Change, easy or not will always bring it's share of consequences. But not beeing aware of upcoming changes will also bring consequences. Some changes are totally out of our control and unpredictable. What do we do then. If you want to change everything, go for the revolution. But if you want to keep your bests assets (you), go for evolution. Any lasting positive change goes through evaluation, transformation, acceptation, application and reevaluation. One small step for a man, one giant leap for my mind. One small step doesn't seem like much today, but by looking back in a few weeks or a few months, you'll see all these small steps pushing you in the right direction, the path you decided to follow toward a new horizon.
Now I'm not suggesting or telling you or anyone to do any of this stuff. I'm not a therapist, I'm more like a psycho-logic guy. Read this as if you would have heard me thinking to myself aloud. Hang on my friend.
