Being that the male newscasters are required to wear a sportcoat/suit
and tie on the air, same standards for female newscasters.
Business attire for males = business attire for females.
End of story...............

The woman in NY WAS wearing business attire. She makes this Vivian Gonzalez look like a Sunday School teacher.

Google 'debrahlee lorenzana' and go into the first citation on the list. You can scroll down to a photo of her in a business suit. There's also a host of addtional illustrative websites. Strongly suggest the CBS site close by. There's a photo of her which, in your right mind, you would not object to in the flesh every morning...in your right mind. Wrong thinking produced her dismissal and the law suit. Stupid...like the TV station who received a piece of my mind as well.

She sent me a direct twitter so I don't know how much of it I can quote. But she asked me to write the station and I did.

I'm not going to try and figure out what's on a womens mind or get her angry at me.

It doesn't matter what Debrahlee Lorenzana wears. Robin Williams said it best "God gave man only enough blood to run on thing at a time" and apparently these people didn't have any blood going to their brain.

debrahlee lorenzana is beautiful no doubt about it and I would love to see her in the flesh in the morning, in my room.

at the end of the day it is the decision of the station to decide what is and is not acceptable for their audience. simple as that.

go to another station where they welcome less attire and she will be fine, or she can bring a lawsuit. but it is the employers decision to make as to what is acceptable.

Good that someone fouind a link. There are other photos of her in less formal attire. What I told the station in my email response was basically that IMHO Lorenzana makes Gonzalez look like a Sunday School teacher and that most of their regular daily sponsored mindless programming contains either veiled or upfront references which make a little Gonzalez knee merely sublime. I suggested that they not demonstrate the same kind of brain-less judgement the suits at City Bank has to offer and to let Gonzalez and her professional judgement prevail as to what is appropriate for live TV. I mean, consider "Sex and The City" or "Desperate Housewives' for example....Du-uuuuh :!: :!: Gonzalez is dressed for Sesame Street.
