Our local weather girl Vivian Gonzalez in Miami was made to change from a yellow miniskirt covering the shoulders with a tank top underneath to a longer dress. It was a normal dress that only showed her legs like shorts would.

Vivian asked me to support her by writing an e-mail to newsfeedback@wsvn.com and I did.

Can everyone please write WSVN and support her:

VivianGonzalez7: a message to newsfeedback@wsvn.com to support me & my fashionable clothing. Anyway just thought I would pass along. Have a great day and

Thanks, she is on Twitter as VivianGonzalez7 along with everyone else from WSVN that have always been an exemplary local news team.

I don't understand her connection with the Fender Forum.

Is she a Telecaster?

That's close enough! The hottest "telecaster" you could ever dream of.

It hasn't hit the news. I don't think very many people noticed the dress change because it was early in the morning. So there are three options we could take:

1. Ask Vivian for a picture (I'm sure she will block me and get a restraining order)

2. Contact a Miami Herald reporter to research.

I wonder if there is anyone that keeps video recordings of TV programs.

I think, that it's utterly ridiculous to ask people to support this issue sight unseen, and just blindly jump on the bandwagon, based on someone elses opinion!

I saw a pic of the woman in question, and no doubt she is nice looking. at the same time it is the right of the news station to decide what is acceptable for their audience and their station. If she feels violated or discriminated she can go work somewhere else and bring a lawsuit.

Yeah, but that's cable. The local girls just wear everyday stuff. There is no reason to be censoring clothes you buy off the shelf at the retail store.

Anyway, I twittered Ellen see if she can do something.

Let's see if channel 7 responds to my e-mail next week.

It's more of a curiosity. Not a big issue but interesting to find out who and why our news gets censored.

I've seen a lot of stuff that gets on the news and disappears throughout the day. Just keep an eye on the wording on the bottom of your favorite news show and you will see a lot of stuff that doesn't get aired anywhere.
