Drums ?

I remember Peavy did. I never saw any of them being used anywhere tho
Gretch comes to mind, as well as Yamaha.
Gibson now owns Slingerland, and has had the Pearl line-up.

It seems that Fender has covered the entire music field, except for drums.

Guitars, amps, acoustics, pedal steel guitars, banjos, mandolins, nylon string guitars, PA equipment, pedals, accessories, everything except drums. I know there must be a reason.

To the best of my knowledge Gibson never got into pianos but the Fender Rhodes is still one of the most distinctive sounds around. You can't compare Fender or Gibson to Yamaha. Apples and oranges. Fender will never make a snowmobile and Gibson will never make an outboard motor and niether one will ever compete in Formula One. Yamaha also has its fingers in heavy industry.

Gibson did in fact bring out a Jimi Hendrix grand piano that had artwork based on Jimi's own paintings and drawings.I believe it was a Baldwin and it actually appeared on their website around the time of the Gibson "Hendrix Strat" fiasco.I don't think ther was a stampede in music stores to buy them.

Why bother when you can just buy out Gretsch and their world class drum reputation.

Howdy neighbor! Yes, if you are talking about Soundcheck Music next to Sierra Mountain Coffee Roasters, they are still there. Bill is a real nice guy, I do most of my string, pick, cord, cable, pedal, etc. etc. shopping there.

Not sure, I'll have to ask. As to the OP, sorry for the hijack...let's see, I don't think Soundcheck carries any Fender branded drumsets
