Took my girl fishing today at a nearby lake. She caught a bunch of bluegill, one of which was a really nice size. The heat absolutely shut the bass down tho. Not so much as one strike and I nearly went through every bait in my two tackle boxes. And you guys are right, I shouldn't complain, since the fishing in the Gulf is completely wrecked now.
Yes we have a couple great reservoirs around me and the Bass are not doing to much in day with the heat but evening and early morning they are hitting poppers. Triadelphia is getting some nice Crappie.
We did hit 100 today and tomorrow they are calling for 90 because of a cool front going thru.

y'all can debunk global warming all you want but when I grew up in DC from 1973 - 1990, the highest temperature I ever experienced was 98.. Now, hitting 100 in DC happens about once or twice every summer... What the heck happened ??

global warming IS happening, but its natural, not man made... Earth goes through these cycles rather regularly

thank you someone believes in my theory about global warming!

Agreed on the cycle theory. and regarding the fishing...I NEED A BOAT!!!! :x It's almost stupid for me to go out every other day and try to fish shallow areas. Strangely, I still do it....

Correct there has been more then one Ice Age. And there nothing wrong with sitting on a quit bank along the water fishing and just relaxing sometimes.

Excatly people are stressin' out about it but, dude, just relax, enjoy what we have right now, when the time comes (which I garuntee you it'll be another 150 years) then start worrying.
As for fishing, theres no good fishing spots in my town, and our lakes poluted so much that fish cant live in there

I spoke with a masters geology student recently. He explained that global warming is actually a complete crock. His explanation was that it's in the earth's natural cycle to cool, reheat, cool, etc. It's a course that human activity can't stop

Seems logical to me. Whip out your sunglasses, people. 8)

Local weather say 99 outside and our back yard thermometer say 101 degrees out there. Just spent 3hours out there working and I believe it.

Thank you for some common sense about the supposed global warming garbage. I live in South Fl. Hurricane Alley. Just like the Earth going through a climate change, Tropical storms and hurricanes are in a cycle that runs from about twenty to thirty years. It is in an active part of one of the stages now. Al Gore made some bucks on this one. 91 Degrees, with about a 10 degree heat index. Humidity just over 61%. 100 degrees.

So far this year we've only had 2 days where the temperature hit 20 (around 70F) and we have yet to get two sunny days in a row and that's no exaggeration.so far every sunny day has been followed by rain and/or fog.
