It's got a lot of stuff on it as far as effects and things like that. I get a lot of noise, but I have crummy cables so that might be it. They have an updater but I'm afraid to use it. On the autowah switch, there's a humming noise.

The jury's still out on what I think about it. So far, it plugs in and it plays. I get some noise at first when it plugs in but then it goes away.

It's loud though. I mean, real loud. Uber loud.

I'm glad I got it though. Gives me something to experiment with when I get bored with my regular lessons through my book.

I got a Peavey vypyr 75W. I figure it has a lot of effects on it and I got a pretty good deal on it. I figure I'd want to save up money for a better Fender guitar in a couple of years rather than an amp right now (not sure if that makes sense).

Will post pics more towards the weekend.

after seeing your post about your new amp, i was in guitar center today and tested out the Peavey vypyr 75W. I think you made a solid choice, it is a really nice and with lots of options so far as the effects go. I played a Gibson Explorer through it and was really impressed although I didnt get to crank it up that loud. Hope you enjoy the amp!

does this amp have a noise reduction system? check you manual. i have a vox ad50vt, and it has an adjustable noise reduction system. it does a pretty good job of getting rid of the noise, especially on higher gain settings. if you turn up the n.r. too much, it cuts out some of the notes.hope yours is easy a fix, and good luck with your new toy- it's a great amp

She's a beaut  I've grown fairly impressed with some of the amps Peavy has out today.

I have to check that out. I'm sure it does, but I haven't played too much with it yet.
