i dont have a specific practice gutiar, i use all my guitars equally.

I would think you would practice on the guitars you play out with, the familiarity with all the subtleties of each instrument would only work to your benefit. For me, I only have the one guitar, so would use that one, but as I plan on getting a second bass, I would use both, for practice AND playing out.

All my guitars are practice guitars,as every time you play you are in fact practicing.Having said that,I also rotate my guitars every couple of weeks but my Jimmie Vaughn Strat and my John Lennon Casino are always close at hand as they are my favourite players.This week my Epi Firebird is being used as my main around the house guitar,I haven't played it in a couple of months and I'm still amazed how much it sounds like a mid 60s SG,through one of my Voxes or even my Blues Jr. the tone is the same as George Harrison got on Day Tripper and Paperback Writer.

I usually use my Squier Strat, but that's really only because it's the only one that's not in a case/gigbag. Ease of access is the selling point in this situation. :P
