I'm thinking the vocals could come up, but I like the 24 tracks of music better than the vocals...

Now, if I could only sing better. :?

You're too kind, but thanks for listening and posting!

Thanks, could the vocals come up?

I thought about panning the open string acoustic in places?

Not just volume, but using EQ and filters to bring out that frequency range more.

I just tweaked it a bit.

Oh, your song is being downloaded to my computer this very instant!

Yeah, Box.net gives you the total listens and downloads.

i really enjoyed this tune. i'll listen again when things are calmed down. what really caught my ear was the beautiful guitar lines. i thought the vocals were done very well.
but, i'm not one of those american idol experts either.
good job!

Vox up around 2/3db Mike. Just enough to stop the guitar burying em.

Great singing and playing mate. I sound like a strangled pig when I try to sing.

First a disclaimer - I just listened to this on my office computer, so not the greatest sound quality. That said, I liked what I heard, very nice Mike. I think, given the breathy quality (if that is the right descriptor) of your vocals and harmonies, the level in the mix is good and blends well with the other instruments. Also, I liked the emphasis of the acoustic guitar and the interplay with the vocal, so I would leave the acoustic fills in tact.

Nicely done mike! I have excellent boston acoustic speakers with a sub, and your recording came through wonderfully, everything sounded well balanced, and clean. i espescially liked how i was able to hear each instrument as well as the vocals individually. sweet mix man, AND a great song!

Sounds good Mike and yes the vocals could come up a little around and the 1:27 area of the song on for about 10 seconds seem to need more.

Thanks for your comments. :)

As much as I don't want to bury the music tracks, I do think the vocals, especially where no harmonies, could come up.

I was going for a California type sound....what that is?....not really sure anymore.

Where's Brian Wilson?
