There's no such thing as a punk rock guitar or even a punk rock sound. Punk Rock is YOU-unfiltered, unrestrained, heart on your sleeve, baring it all. Punk Rock is truth.

Listen to Defiance Ohio, Propagandhi, The Cobra Skulls, and Ted Leo & the Pharmacists. All punk rock, all COMPLETELY different sounds. Punk rock is a #$@*&!% culture, a community, not a specific sound.

That being said, I own an HH Jaggie Special and it #$@*&!% screams for harder pop punk/powerpop like my band plays(think Strung Out or The Bronx). But that sound is also at least 60% me, how I play and how I set it up. I HIGHLY reccomend the guitar, my favorite offering from Fender in recent memory. There was an awesome Gun Metal/Crimson burst FSR of it done last year you may be able to find.

I think all Jags would be good for punk/grunge

Oh, and if you haven't already listen to some Dead Kennedys... awesome punk band

some of my favorites are the sex pistols, agent orange, black flag, the early offspring (when they were actually punk), and probably my all time favorite punk act, the descendents

A few years ago I was playing with a band and at practice one night we were working on a song and disagreed about the arrangement so we went and put on the CD. Right before pressing play the singer said "I bet real punk bands don't stop and listen to the song." I missed the tune because I was laughing so hard.

Just for Johnny cos they are indeed a awesome band, probably the 2nd best band out of the USA.

Mind you even Eric(Jello) would admit it wouldnt have happened without the Ramones.
