There are Classical A/E guitars made for reasonable prices.

If you look closely at most Classical guitars the bridge saddle is straight, it does not go at at angle like most acoustic guitars. There is not much difference in string gauge on Classical guitars.

Look for one with a non-compensated bridge saddle and you should be able to just swap the strings around.

My Classical guitar is a right handed on that I have swapped the strings around on.

The most you may have to do is have a new nut made.

Hey everybody, today I was watching a bunch of concerts on tv and I never realized how much I like nylon string guitas! I'm looking for a decent company that makes them, and I would like an electric/acoustic. I looked at Takamine but the only one available lefty is $999, that's to much for me. I also looked at Guild and I'm still not sure if they make any of their nylon string guitars lefty...either way they aren't electric/acoustic :(
Just wondering if anyone knows a decent company that might have something for me. Your help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Godin MultiAc is what you need man, they are some super sweet and toneful acoustic/elec nylon guitars. I would love to have one myself and try to play one everytime i go to Guitar Center.

I second the vote for Godin,Yamaha and Suzuki have made great nylon stringed guitars over the years.I don't know how much you are willing to spend but if you can find a used Ramirez you'd be doing yourself a favour to buy it.

I have a 2000 Esteve (I forget the model) but it is made in Spain and
has western cedar top with laminated East Indian Rosewood back and sides. It's a student model but it's tone knocked the socks off a Ramirez.
It was used but at $380, I wasn't going to complain.

Look for used classicals made in Spain. You just might find a real beauty.

Check out a Washburn C104SCE. Chinese, light on soul, much more than okay quality and tone.

Bought one 3 years ago and it's almost always out and oft played and at street price, no particular worries about dinging it.

Cordoba!!! I own a C-5 (acoustic only) and I use it as a concert guitar.

They're Spanish made and sound amazing; However, I wouldn't trust the gig bag it comes with (the strap is a bit sketchy). I've never liked the necks on Godin's, but that's just IMO. Of course, YMMV. My advice would be to try them out, it's a whole different ballgame.

If you don't want to spend too much on it--check out La Patrie.
