i'm really hopeing this isn't his last, ozzy his probably the best of the classic rockers, and we don't need his flame on this going out yet, he's still got a few good years left....

Yes he does, i think i'm gonna see if someone can fret his new album for frets on fire, i wonder what it would be like?(for those who don't know fof, is the open source guitar hero/rock band guitar game for the pc, and it's pretty good for users freting the songs)

I love the album. There's a lot of criticism about it, but I like it alot. I got the best buy tshirt/cd. I know I had a thread of it somewhere in the Lounge.

No too hard for me right now. However, Guitar Edge has the official tab/sheet music for the song you can download for free if you're an email subscriber. If you want it, give me your email and I'll send it to you as a pdf.

Ozzy died with Randy to me. I have not been a big fan since....

I saw Ozzfest in 2000 when he was with Sabbath. I thought he was washed up. He was doing the thing were he asks one side of the crowd to yell and then the other, back and forth back and forth....this is always fun at a concert, but not when he does it this much. It got old, and he did it like five more times...

Still love him though

Ahhhh… I don’t know if I can rally myself to be interested any more…. Don’t get me wrong OZZY is the man and has reshaped Hard Rock and metal for the last 40 years…. I just think the prime is long since passed…He is so fried that he can’t speak can hardly walk upright…still lays it all out there onstage though. One of the best front men ever….I just don’t know how he remembers his lyrics as bad as he has gotten… last 3 times I saw him the set list was just the big hits crazy train and such.. did not hardly even sing stuff from the record he was on the road promoting. Shows just weren’t that good to be honest. Makes ya wonder????…..I was not in love with the last record was not even meat and potatoes material more like throw something out there and hit the road (for only a few shows) for something to do while Sharon is off doing the many projects she has in the works. I am curious to see how the new stuff sounds without Zakk writing 80% of the material.. it was getting to Black Label sounding and I guess that’s why he hired Gus… that style just don’t fit ozzy…I may check it out if its good and word of mouth leads me to it but for right now it’s not on my to do list…

Cheers
Bill

Ozzy's way past his prime. Can't take his past accomplishments away from him though. His voice is so over-processed on his later recordings it's a shame. Can't live a rough lifestyle like that and still be creative.

I haven't "looked forward" to an Ozzy album in years. Lyrically the songs are a blah, musically the sound is bordering on "pop" for the most part, and Zakk saves his best playing for BLS. The guitarwork he does with Ozzy sounds repeptitive and extremely boring to me (Chunk, Chunk, Chunk, Deedly-Deedly, SQUEAL <repeat>)

I don't get the whole Zak thing. He kind of reminds me of Hulk Hogan with a guitar. I don't find anything great about his playing especially his kazoo tone.
Not trying to piss people off, but I just don't get it. I like all kinds of music but he just isn't up there on my list. I have the same problem with Leslie West. He killed that fantastic tone with tons of gain and over processing.

+1

Thank you. Never been a Zak fan.
