last i heard Zakk had recorded most of the guitar parts and he wasn't sure if they (Ozzy/Sharon) were going to have the new kid redo the guitar tracks

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Ozzys guitarist for the past year or so has been Gus G., also of the band Firewind.

Thanks for reminding me. I have to check it out on the internet. Best Buy has the CD on sale $7.95 but you can also get the collectors for $20 with a snazzy t-shirt of the Oz.

I always try to buy before they start charging $14 for a CD. The internet has facilitated listening before you buy which is a lot better than waiting for your local radio to play it.

It would be fun to buy.

Another I've been checking out is Vince Neil's new CD Tatoos and Tequila http://www.iheartradio.com/cc-common/on ... ?apid=6696

Yeah, I was looking at that ozzy cd/tshirt deal myself. I'm not usually a big ozzy fan, but "scream" is an awesome song!

Ahhhh… I don’t know if I can rally myself to be interested any more…. Don’t get me wrong OZZY is the man and has reshaped Hard Rock and metal for the last 40 years…. I just think the prime is long since passed…He is so fried that he can’t speak can hardly walk upright…still lays it all out there onstage though. One of the best front men ever….I just don’t know how he remembers his lyrics as bad as he has gotten… last 3 times I saw him the set list was just the big hits crazy train and such.. did not hardly even sing stuff from the record he was on the road promoting. Shows just weren’t that good to be honest. Makes ya wonder????…..I was not in love with the last record was not even meat and potatoes material more like throw something out there and hit the road (for only a few shows) for something to do while Sharon is off doing the many projects she has in the works. I am curious to see how the new stuff sounds without Zakk writing 80% of the material.. it was getting to Black Label sounding and I guess that’s why he hired Gus… that style just don’t fit ozzy…I may check it out if its good and word of mouth leads me to it but for right now it’s not on my to do list…

Cheers
Bill

i always look forward to his new stuff. hes one of those that you just automaticly know to go get it. hes never had a bad album, and no two sound the same. hes very original in everything he does.
he always has a good guitar player too.

speak of the devil is my fav album and gilis
is by far my fav guitar player hes had.
followed by jake e lee and then zakk.
i was a randy fan as well, but just didnt dig him as much as the above guys. randy wrote us some good riffs theres no question but i honestly found his playing to lack a flavor that ozzy needed.
